15: Trip summary

'It is good to have an end to journey toward, but it is the journey that matters in the end.'
- Ursula K. Le Guin

While the trip and its memories may mean a lot to us and our close ones, for many others, the journey will continue to be an important piece of information. I myself remember searching forums for the roads people took, the experiences they had, dos and donts, average distances travelled, stops taken. Information someone may find useful while planning their trip or information we could use later as a baseline for our future road trips. Here it is:

  1. Firstly I would like to comment that this is a very well written blog covering minute details.I also appreciate the efforts you have taken to write this blog right from data collection to staying up late nights to finish the blog asasp. You have excellent writing skills please continue the same. It is indeed refreshing for me to read the events in series right from pre and post travel. I am sure it will be the same for our fellow travellers. I have seen you making all preparations for the trip to ensure everybody is comfortable during the travel, then may be fitting the roof top carrier or getting all accesories whiThch really made us all feel so comfortable throught out the entire 9 days. There was absolutely no tiredness even for a single day. I was skeptical about road trips for such long distance travel specially with kids, but many thanks to you for building in that confidence in me. Now i am looking forward for many such road trips. I am sure this blog will be useful for many those who intend to become road trippers or who chose the same destination.
    Thanks and Best wishes,
    Pallavi Anikant Anisandy.

  5. Now you know, why we named him Anikant. He can really do anything. At least we believe so, and he proved this belief to be true not only over the trip but also while writing this blog. He just needs to get into something.. if he gets in.. he does it this way. Very well written Aniket. I almost relived the entire trip both the times I read this blog, and am sure to relive it everytime I would read it. Thanks for writing this blog Aniket.. for sure, you deserve a treat for this blog from me.

During the trip, for all good reasons, we made Aniket as bade bhaiyya while Mukul became mazale bhaiyya and I enjoyed being chote bhaiyya. Well, we could not have had a company any better than this over the fabulous trip along with Cheetah, the XUV. Did enjoy every day of it.. Right from the planning phase till you published this blog.

Every moment was a happening moment.. may it be the uploading or downloading of the luggage or the key decisions.. or the celebrations together.. the best thing I liked that we all unanimously decided to start at 00:30HRS in the midnight while original plan was to start early morning. And that really set up the trip mood. I myself (still) believe a lot in planning, but have also realized how good fun it can be when we go really adhoc at times. Again, thanks to the gang for such extempore decisions, especially the kids who enjoyed all along.

Rest all is the story that we will cherish over times .. very well covered by Aniket. Frankly when I spoke to Aniket about writing a blog, I just expected a couple of pages.. and here we got a dozen of those from him, awesome! Keep writing.. :)
